Cybereason Names Ghazal Asif its Senior Vice President of Worldwide Channels

Feb 28, 2019

Cybereason, creators of the leading Cyber Defense Platform, today named Ghazal Asif Senior Vice President of Worldwide Channels. Asif brings more than 10 years of experience in building indirect go-to-market channel programs for fast growth technology companies.

Asif is a recognized industry leader, award-winning channel executive, and advocate for diversity and inclusion. Prior to Cybereason, she was the Vice President, Worldwide Channels, GSP & Cloud Providers at AppDynamics. During her tenure, she increased partner-driven sales from $20M to $100M and launched the AppDynamics Titan Partner Program, Pioneer Program, a new rebate structure, and a highly effective Partner Enablement Program. Prior to AppDynamics, Asif worked for Meraki, as the Director, Global Channel Sales. Through the Channel, she helped drive Meraki’s growth from $100M to $500M.

Meraki and AppDynamics were both acquired by Cisco, and Asif was instrumental in leveraging Cisco’s strong Partner base to drive incremental revenue. Asif was a Rising Star at Cisco due to the impact she made on Cisco, the Channel program, and her team. CRN named her a Channel Chief in 2019, 2018 and 2017. While at AppDynamics and Meraki, she founded Women@Meraki and Women of AppDynamics. Both programs were critical in driving awareness of diversity and inclusion within the workplace. This led to Asif becoming a guest writer for Entrepreneur.com and a guest speaker at Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Conference 2018.

“Ghazal is a proven channel leader, and the impact and value she is already bringing to Cybereason are undeniable. We are super excited to have her driving our broad global channel expansion,” said Lior Div, CEO and co-founder, Cybereason. “Cybereason is rapidly expanding across the world with channel partners, integrators, and MSSPs that bring a strong desire to be successful and bring value to our joint customers. With our innovative products, proactive, sophisticated mindset, and our ambitious vision, talented professionals such as Ghazal will play an instrumental role in our future success.”

“I am thrilled to be joining Cybereason at a time they are experiencing exponential growth. Cybereason has developed the world’s most advanced platform for combating sophisticated attacks and partners find tremendous value in that,” said Asif. “Cybereason is truly at the forefront of enterprise threat detection and protection. I look forward to building on the already successful channel program and continuing to bring the award-winning Cyber Defense Platform to partners and customers. I am excited to work with our partners to create an unbeatable joint value proposition that drives incremental value.”

Asif’s arrival follows months of significant company growth. Last week, Cybereason announced that it outperformed every company in the MITRE ATT&CK Evaluations. And, in January, the company was named a 2019 Gartner Peer Insights Customers’ Choice for Endpoint Detection and Response Solutions.

Next week, Cybereason is exhibiting at RSA and participants can stop by the company’s Threat Hunting Lodge in Moscone South, Booth #327, where the company will provide demos on how its Cyber Defense Platform performs across the entire attack lifecycle. See how security analysts can proactively seek out malicious activity and gaps in their defense program while developing hunting queries that are informed by threat intelligence and data research.
