Cybereason Welcomes Boston Mayor Marty Walsh

Written by Cyber Admin | May 15, 2017

Cybereason today welcomes Boston Mayor Marty Walsh to its global headquarters at the John Hancock Building at 200 Clarendon Street.

Mayor Walsh will be meeting with CEO and Co-founder Lior Div, CTO and Co-founder Yonatan Striem-Amit and other senior management team members to discuss Cybereason’s explosive growth in the past 12 months and the impact of Israeli companies on the Boston economy.

Also included in the conversation will be Cybereason’s recent launch of SecureBoston, a program designed to help companies, non-profit organizations, state and local governments, law enforcement agencies and mom-and-pop shops fight invasive ransomware attacks. Cybereason’s enterprise endpoint platform and anti-ransomware tool RansomFree protects against WannaCry, the invasive ransomware attack that affected more than 200,000 people in over 150 countries last week.

"Boston is truly an international business destination, and I'm pleased Cybereason has chosen to grow their global headquarters in our city," said Mayor Walsh. "From building innovative technologies to tripling its staff, Cybereason continues to be a tremendous addition to Boston's business community."

“Cybereason is thrilled to welcome Mayor Walsh to our office to discuss the cyber ecosystem in Boston. Our company has raised more venture capital than any cybersecurity company in Boston, and it underscores that we are next-generation leaders in combating the real-world threats facing companies. Today’s threats have no boundaries and threaten companies across multiple industries, not only in our city but throughout the world. We are confident that discussions like today’s with Mayor Walsh will help bring more visibility and awareness to the risks before us,” said Div.

In the past 12 months, Cybereason tripled its Boston-based staff from 35 to more than 100. Globally, Cybereason has also tripled its workforce in the past 12 months to more than 260 employees. As a testament to the company’s momentum, Cybereason garnered many recent awards and accolades, including:
