A recent global research report conducted by Cybereason, titled Ransomware: The True Cost to Business, revealed that the vast majority of organizations that have suffered a ransomware attack have experienced significant impact to the business, including loss of revenue, damage to the organization’s brand, unplanned workforce reductions, and little in the way of relief from cyber insurance policies.
Sam is a Visiting Fellow at the National Security Institute, and prior to joining Cybereason was CTO and CISO for Arbor Networks (NetScout) and was CSO and SVP R&D at MicroStrategy in addition to holding senior security roles at McAfee and CA. He spent 7 years at RSA, the Security Division of EMC as Chief Technologist and SVP of Product. Sam also has over 20 patents in security from his time as a security architect, has been a leader in two successful startups and is a board member of the Cybersecurity Coalition, of SSH Communications and of Sequitur Labs.
Abigail is currently the Vice President of Channel and Commercial Sales in North America for Cybereason. In her capacity, Abigail is responsible for all routes to market and the sales team focused on mid-market customers. Prior to joining Cybereason, Abigail was the Head of Channel Sales, Americas at Check Point Software. In this role, Abigail led a turn-around in the Americas market characterized by, double-digit increases in total bookings and partner NPS. Prior to Check Point, Abigail led Business Development for Cylance, Inc. At Cylance, Abigail led a cross-functional global team responsible for Cylance’s most strategic partnerships which account for twenty-five percent of Cylance’s annual new product bookings. Prior to Cylance, Abigail was Global Vice President of Channel Strategy and Business Development for Absolute Software. During her five years at Absolute, Abigail enhanced overall go-to-market execution by leading the entire organization through initiatives that drove efficiencies in sku management, global pricing and indirect channel incentives resulting in a lower cost of sales and positive partner feedback and engagement. Abigail was also an executive at Sutherland Global Services and HiWired where she was responsible for establishing key partnerships in the telco, retail and OEM market fortechnical services offerings. Abigail graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo, summa cum laude, with an MBA in Corporate Finance. She lives in Austin, TX with her husband and twochildren.
Richard is the Chief Information Security Officer for Motorola Mobility. Richard participates in several corporate, community, private, and government Security Council’s and working groups setting standards, policies, and solutions to current and emerging security issues. As Chief Information Security Officer for Motorola Mobility, he has led the security effort by developing an international team to tackle the emerging threats of mobile devices, targeted attacks, and cyber-crime. He organized developed and deployed practices, tools and techniques to protect the intellectual property across the worldwide enterprise. A much-in-demand international speaker on information security Richard has presented at many leading security conferences and seminars around the world.
Brad is a 33-year Motorolan/Lenovoan who started his career as a software engineer creating simulation and regression testing tools for cellular switches. He “volunteered” (said that we needed one) as a liaison with IT, the heavens (and a security position) opened up, and his career swerved onto what he considers to be his best track. Nearly 20 years later, Brad focuses on Risk and Vulnerability Management, Phishing, and regularly tilts at the windmill that Patch Management seems to have become.
